There are 34,000 hectares of vineyards divided among nine towns: Caudete de las Fuentes, Camporrobles, Fuenterrobles, Requena, Siete Aguas, Sinarcas, Utiel, Venta del Moro and Villargordo del Cabriel.

Around 6000 families and one hundred wineries are dedicated to viticulture in the DO Utiel-Requena, making it the main economy of the region.

Tourism and wine

The 9 towns that make up the DO Utiel Requena represent a rich natural, historical and artistic heritage. The outstanding medieval architecture of Requena and Utiel, the great natural and varied countryside of the river Cabriel, the famous ‘Hoces y Cuchillos’, the Chera Geological Park , the Tejo and Negrete Mountains and the Contreras Reservoir. The stunning natural beauty of this land of wine and the warm hospitality of the people will make you feel at home. There is also a rich gastronomy, complemented by a wide selection of wines from the region with their own character distinguishing them from other Spanish wine regions.
